Safe Swap: Hand Sanitizer
Its EASY, convenient, and readily available… Hand sanitizer is a go-to for so many people, myself included! Instant germ-free hands after being in a grimy place… sign me up!
Thankfully the blacklisted ingredient, Triclosan, is making its way OUT of the majority of “anti-bacterial” products on the market. It was in use for 40+ years, and was recently banned in soaps and body washed, but is STILL used in conventional toothpaste. Just because this heavy hitter has been banned from hand sanitizers doesn’t mean that all hand sanitizers are free from harm when absorbed into your bloodstream though.

Let’s take a second to dissect a very popular grab and go hand-sani ingredient list. A 👎🏼 represents an ingredient with enough safety data and research to cause health hazard and is best to avoid in your topical products…
