Synthetic Vs Natural

Marketing claims can be so tricky! That’s why I take seriously my ability to help you decipher labels and learn how to find truly TOXIN-free products.
Typically consumers fall into one of three categories..
1️⃣ ➞ The chemical phobic
2️⃣ ➞ The chemical fearless
3️⃣ ➞ The chemical quizzical
I’m a personal fan of category #3 and to better clarify let’s look at a few things…
➞ 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- Poison Ivy = miserably itchy rash
- Snake Venom = lethal toxic potential
- Asbestos = known to cause cancer
- Nanoparticle minerals = can be naturally contaminated with elements like lead, aluminum, mercury and other heavy metals
- Japanese Honeysuckle = has an almost identical molecular structure as parabens which mimic estrogen in the body and have been found to create hormone imbalance
Moral of the story… 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜. There are many other environmental factors to consider with natural ingredients including sustainability, pesticide residues, and ethical harvesting.

➞ 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬:
- Single Polymer Dimethicone = a lightweight silicone with over 100 independent peer reviewed studies proving its safety on the skin and the environment. This ingredient in its pure form can dramatically improve the performance of a product without any health risks.
- Boron Nitride = a synthetic compound used to increase adherence and act as oil absorbent. An abundance of compiled safety data proves that there is no risk of carcinogenic, endocrine disruption, or toxic impact.
- Sodium Benzoate = a preservative compound created by combining benzoic acid (found naturally in many fruits) and sodium hydroxide. This preservative is used in thousands of foods, beverages, and medications under the FDAs stamp of approval that it is generally recognized as safe for internal consumption. Although I do not personally choose to consume internally in its synthetic form, I have absolutely no concerns with it as a personal care preservative due to no scientific research that links it alone to health risk.

❤️ If you could use assistance in reading your labels to ensure their safety (instead of just trusting the tricky marketing), you know I’m your gal!
